10 months

Baby boo! You are 10 months. Some funny things you do recently:

-fake laugh- usually in response to me laughing. Which leads to me laughing more, and more fake laughing from you. It is pretty hilarious and most likely the highlight of my day.

-you love being surprised- like peek a boo or me jumping out suddenly.

-you like to be thrown in the air

-flap your arms- either your are really excited or completely fed up.

-pull yourself up on everything, but don’t know how to lower yourself yet. So you start to just yell when you want me to put you down

You love to:

-look outside the window to look over what we call “Liam’s kingdom”, to oversee all the little people and their silly little cars. You just stand up with your hands and forehead pressed to the glass, staring for probably 10-20 minutes.

-play with anything we want to use. Usually the computer. You are so helpful with the typing the keys:). The other day I was writing my Valentine’s letter to Alex- and was constantly in a rotation of pens because you suddenly wanted whichever one I was using

-you prefer constant attention- and it is so sweet. Sometimes it gets me a little frustrated but when you have my undivided attention you are usually a sweetheart

-leaving the apartment- you start flapping your arms when we walk out the front door, and even moreso when the elevator opens.

-the grocery store- usually you lunge at whoever is nearby. So all sorts of strangers take you up on that offer, and I’m not sure how I like that? But you are a superstar when we are in public, everyone just oo’s and ahhhh’s.

-suck on cords- I have to really be careful to not have anything plugged in and in your reach!

-play with

-You are starting to like books! yay!

You don’t like:

-sudden loud noises- especially machines. For example, if I turn on the KitchenAid on low, in the other room, you will still freak out.

-normal child toys. However- I think you are starting to like stuffed animals! Sometimes I’ll put your in your crib with tons of them, and do funny voices for each one. You smile, then I’ll leave to do something, and you can usually be entertained with that for a little while.

-food:(. You find it interesting, but usually spit it out a few seconds later. You’ll always go for another bite, then spit it out too. We are working on that because it would be helpful to know I can leave you with a babysitter! (Because you won’t take a bottle either.) You just really love your mama, so I’ll take it! However, we usually don’t have that problem when Alex sneaks your ice cream or something sugary. Hmmmm.

-When I blow your nose

Other news:

-You say dada and mama, but I’m not sure you get the meaning yet. But you tend to say mama when you get really hungry or tired, I think?? So i’m going to take that as a win for me!

-You 5th tooth is in, I didn’t even know it was coming! And your 6th one is on the way. So far they’ve come in the regular order. When I’m feeding you to sleep, it is starting to hurt a lot with those chompers! Usually you only bite when you are done eating and want to play, but when you are sleepy you don’t open as wide- and I feel every one of those sharp teeth. Ouchh
